Both of these contactsheets were created with a simple script built around Image Magick

Just to give you an example, but the script created these contact sheets for 100 images (Canon 1D, large JPEG) in exactly 1 minute :-D (AMD XP 2600+)
This contact sheet is from an early version of the script. The newer version allows multiple sheet sizes, color choices, etc. It's currently written in BASH shell script and is being ported to Perl which means it should work on all computer platforms.
